Open house: Saturday, October 31
De Vechtclub has been running its own schedule with its own trainers since August 1, but we were still smack in the middle of renovations. We expect to have the main work done by late October, so on Saturday, October 31, we're celebrating our official opening with an open house packed with free classes for all of Weesp, followed by drinks with your shoes off.
The short version
- When: Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 to 18:00.
- Free classes: a new one every hour on the hour, the first at 9:00, the last at 14:00.
- Who it's for: anyone age six and up who can join in for an hour and is reasonably mobile.
- Drinks: from 16:00 to 18:00, shoes off.
- Join in: sign up below to save your spot, or just walk in if you dare.
- No regular classes that day. Saturday is all about new faces.
Coming to check it out?
A class every hour
All levels are welcome, but heads up: every class starts from scratch and assumes you've never thrown a punch before.
Been training with us or somewhere else for a while? Come on over, we'll definitely work up a sweat. But we'll also cover the basics, and the combinations will stay short. You won't learn a flying bicycle kick that day. You will help the people next to you, which is at least as much fun.
Who it's for
It doesn't matter how fit you are or what you look like. We ask two things.
First, you need to join in for the full hour and stay engaged. Not sure whether your child can handle that? That's exactly the benchmark.
Second, you need to be reasonably mobile. That's a lousy line to draw, because it means the open house isn't suitable if you're recovering from an injury or no longer feel steady on your feet, even though those people are absolutely welcome here otherwise. Send us a message and we'll figure out what is possible together.
Save your spot
Sign up below and choose "I'm coming to the open house." That way, we'll know you're coming and save a spot for you. We'll let you know which class you can join.
You can also just walk in. If there's room, you're in. If a class is full, it'll be the next hour. That's the difference: signing up guarantees your spot.
And then
From 16:00 to 18:00, there'll be drinks. Shoes off, because we'll be on the mats, shuffling to the music barefoot and enjoying snacks that would be banned at every other gym.
Already a member? Definitely come by, but come for the good vibes and to help someone else get started.
Had fun? You'll get three free trial classes, just like everyone else who walks through our doors. And if not, you still learned how to throw a mean low kick on a Saturday in October. Not bad. See you on the mat!
