Trial classes

How many trial classes do I get?

Three, free and with no strings attached. Why three? We explain it here.

What happens during a trial class?

No surprises: we wrote down exactly what to expect, from walking in to biking home. Sparring isn’t part of it. The bag is the only thing taking a beating.

When can I take a trial class?

During any boxing or kickboxing bag work class on the schedule. We’ll find a time together. Just message us on WhatsApp.

Can I reschedule my trial class?

Always. Just send us a message on WhatsApp and we’ll find a new time. No problem.

The app, schedule, and booking

Where can I find the De Vechtclub app?

Search for De Vechtclub in the App Store or Google Play, or go to devecht.club/app. It’ll automatically send your phone to the right store.

How do I log in?

If you already trained at TKS, your old login will still work. If it doesn’t, select forgot password and use the email address where you receive our emails.

Do I need to book classes?

Yes, through the app. That way, you know there’s room, and you’ll hear right away if a class is ever canceled.

Do I need to choose a regular class time?

No. You book each class separately and can switch it up every week: Monday this week, Friday next week, whatever works for you.

Does every class go ahead as planned?

Almost always. A class may be canceled one hour beforehand if too few people sign up. Everyone who booked will get a notification in the app. One more reason to reserve your spot.

Kids

What ages are the kids’ classes for?

All kids’ classes are for every age up to and including 16. The trainer pairs children of a similar size, so brothers and sisters can train together.

Can my child sign up for adult classes?

From age 16, kids can join the adult bag work classes.

Sometimes they can start earlier. We have a special membership for this. We decide case by case, so just ask us and we’ll figure out what works.

Gear

I don’t have any gear yet. Is that a problem?

No, you can borrow ours. Once you’re hooked, it’s nice to get your own gear, of course.

Where can I buy gloves and shin guards?

De Vechtclub buys its bags and loaner gear from OLB Sports in Arnhem. That means we can offer many items at a 10% discount if you buy them through us. It’s worth checking whether they carry what you want.

A tip from Remy: always try on gloves in a store first.

We like Rumble Store in Houten, both in person and online.

Partners and payments

Can I train through ClassPass, Workit, or Urban Sports Club?

Yes! Our bag work classes are listed on ClassPass and Urban Sports Club. Workit is coming soon.

You can also train with us through your employer via BFNL (Corporate Fitness Netherlands).

Do you accept the city pass?

We’re working on it. Ask Kevin or Remy.

How much does a membership cost?

You’ll find all memberships and single classes on the pricing page. The longer you commit, the less you pay: 10% off for one year, 15% for two years.

Practical info

Where is the entrance?

De Vechtclub is located at Achtergracht 66A, 1381 BP Weesp. Our members' entrance is on the parking deck above Albert Heijn. Once upstairs, walk past the AH shopping carts and you'll see our door. Coming by car? Navigate to Van der Linden Tweewielers. The ramp to the parking deck is just to the right of their bike shop, and parking is free for 90 minutes. Coming by bike? Use the bike racks out front on Achtergracht. Bikes on the deck are for trainers only. On foot, you can reach the parking deck through the stairwell, except before 8:00. The Albert Heijn parking deck door is still closed then, so take the Vomar escalator instead. Welcome!

Can I rent the gym?

Absolutely, the space is available outside class hours. Email us with what you have in mind, and we’ll help you think it through.

We’ve hosted kids’ parties and musical rehearsals, for example. Our space can also be a great fit for active coaching sessions.

Soft flooring, central location, coffee, restroom, and changing area included.

How do I cancel?

Email us from the email address linked to your account. You’ll always receive a confirmation with your membership end date.
