Founding member: what does that actually mean? (And: when they’re gone, they’re gone)
Remy & Kev
When we announced De Vechtclub, we made a promise: the first twenty members to choose the High Kick membership would become founding members. No discount, but plenty of eternal glory and our gratitude. Since then, people have kept asking us what that actually means. Here you go.
What does a founding member get?
- A spot in the founding members group chat: have your say on class times and the club’s direction.
- Your own founding member merch to show off.
- A Polaroid of you with Remy or Kev on the club’s wall of fame.
- And the Zaterdagmiddagclub, our Saturday afternoon club: one hour every quarter that’s never the same twice. Though to be fair, that comes with every High Kick membership, founding member or not.
Why only twenty?
Starting a club is the biggest thrill. Anyone who says, I’m in, right from the start gives us more than membership fees. They give us confidence and a flying start. That deserves something money can’t buy. And glory just works better when you’re not handing it out to a hundred people.
Update: when they’re gone, they’re gone
There went our twenty spots, faster than we’d dared to hope. All founding member spots are taken. Thank you, pioneers. Soon we’ll see you appear, Polaroid by Polaroid, on the wall of fame.
Just missed out? Don’t be sad for too long. The High Kick membership is still available, including the Zaterdagmiddagclub, and you’ll share the most important perk of all with the founding members anyway: a club that exists thanks to you. Start by joining us for a free trial class, then you’ll see why everyone wanted in from day one.
