Help with membership fees
Work out with
Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur
Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Amsterdam helps children from Amsterdam and Weesp when there isn’t enough money at home for club activities. We’re discussing becoming a participating club, so we can’t promise funding for classes with us yet.
Who is it for?
The fund is for children and teens up to age 17 from families who have trouble paying the class fees. Our kids’ classes are for children ages 6 to under 16. Not sure if they’re right for your child? Feel free to message us.
You don’t have to deal with this alone. Even if you’re not sure which program fits your situation, we can help you figure out the first step together.
How do you apply?
- Talk to us first about the class and our current participation status.
- Check the Amsterdam application process for parents.
- If you have a Stadspas, you can apply directly in Amsterdam and Weesp. Without one, or if you need help, a support professional, formerly called an intermediary, can help through a school or neighborhood team, for example.
- Wait for approval and coordinate the start with us. If approved, the fund pays the club.
Submitting an application does not mean funding has been approved. So don’t take out a paid membership expecting the fund to cover it retroactively.
How is this different from Stadspas?
They are separate options. The Stadspas sports allowance is handled by the municipality, while Jeugdfonds reviews each application. We’ll help you figure out which option fits, without applying twice for the same membership fee.
We’re in touch with the fund, but our participation has not been finalized yet. In the meantime, your child can try three classes for free.
FAQ
My child wants to train. How does it work?
Request a trial class and include your child’s name and age. Every child gets three free trial classes, and we’ll have gloves and shin guards ready. We’ll figure out together which class suits your child; feel free to check the schedule or message us. If your child wants to continue, we’ll help with the account: you create a Gymly account as the parent and add your child as a family member, so payment and account management stay with you.
